Baby Photo Session Morris County New Jersey

Claire and Joseph won a free baby photo session Morris County New Jersey in the contest I ran last year. They were expecting at the time and knew they would love professional newborn photos of their little one. A friend of Claire’s had done a newborn shoot with me and been very happy with the images. Since they live near me (only about half an hour from my studio) they decided to enter the contest. And they got lucky! It was my pleasure to photograph these new parents and their baby girl.

Morris County NJ Pre-Session Planning

When we discussed their preferences before the photography session, Joseph and Claire didn’t know yet if they were having a boy or a girl. They wanted it to be a surprise! Since they weren’t sure of baby’s gender, they didn’t have any specific requests on props or setups. They did mention that if baby was a girl, they liked the little floral headbands or lacy fabrics they had seen in some of my newborn pictures. As it turned out, the new little one was a girl, so we did exactly that!

Baby Photo Session

This little lady was so beautiful and petite, with perfect skin. Although it’s a little early to tell, I think she’s going to look a lot like her mama. She has the same nose and mouth.

We used soft colors and textures, and lots of floral patterns for a very feminine feel. She looked so pretty in the orchid, magenta, and coral shades we chose for her.
