I’ve been extremely lucky to be able to capture all these wonderful smiles during my newborn sessions. Baby smiles are not as easy to witness as one may think. According to experts babies generally don’t smile at all. These first smiles aren’t intentional or in response to anything. They are reflex smiles and often occur while the baby is drowsy or during deep stages of sleep. Never the less, when we see a grin come over our baby’s face , it is the most rewarding moment of parenthood. To a photographer it’s like an icing on the cake and it makes the whole session even more special .
