Photography Session
This Glen Gardner Newborn session was simply a dream. One week old baby Stella recently came to visit me in my studio for her newborn photoshoot! I was supposed to photograph her Fresh 48 session in the hospital , however , due to scheduling , that did not work out. I was so happy that Liz reached out to me shortly after to book her in studio session. Luckily I had an opening for this sweet little peanut.
Little Stella
Stella was such a perfect baby during her newborn session. I was able to curl her up and tightly wrap her with different blankets to get amazing photos. Liz had wanted Stella to have rose and peach colors in the photos as well as floral accents. We used the same bucket with different props to achieve those different looks. In one of the bucket series, I had Stella in a turquoise swaddle with a matching headband. A digital composite was used to
achieve more of a floral look, a method I use fairly often if the client requests complicated set up. If done correctly, those digital images look just like a real thing!
For Stella’s pictures with her mommy, she was wrapped in a cream colored swaddle and wore a delicate flower headband. She looked so content in her mom’s arms. Stella wore the same outfit when her proud 11-year-old big sister Marley held her. This little one is lucky to be born into such a loving family.
Since Stella was so cooperative, I took that opportunity to photograph her in a little bed while she was wearing an adorable, fuzzy mint colored hat on her head. She even gave us a little smirk so I think she was really enjoying her nap! I wonder what she was dreaming about.
