Michelle and I have been planning this NJ birthday photos and cake smash session for quite some time. I have photographed Michelle, Mark and little Mason since he was still in mommy’s belly and they have become one of my favorite families. You can see their maternity session here. Michelle and Mark are such amazing people and Mason is just a sweetheart with the cutest smile and dimples! Michelle had two ideas when it came to Mason’s cake smash. Since both of them were equally great, it was hard to decide which one to choose so we waited to the last minute and finally decided to go with simple and clean setup.
My birthday packages come with a birthday photo session followed by a cake smash session. I have also added a bath session to the end for anyone who is interested. We decided to do all three for Mason and I think the bath was his favorite:) The whole session was amazing and I had a blast celebrating Mason’s birthday. Happy 1st birthday little man!
Birthday Photos
Michelle was always a fan of clean and simple setups and that’s what we decided to do with Mason’s birthday photos. I have a collection of cute children’s outfits which match perfectly with my backdrops and setups. I chose rustic brown and navy blue for Mason’s photos and added a few props as well. Birthday sessions are definitely not completed without a number 1 prop 🙂
Cake Smash
For the cake smash part of the session, Michelle decided to keep it clean and simple. Light blue and ivory and the main focus on Mason. Michelle ordered an amazing smash cake from one of my favorite bakers: Blue Sheep Bake Shop. Her cakes are not only a work of art but they are beyond delicious (trust me, I lick my fingers a lot during the session 🙂 Mason loved his cake and had a great time playing and licking the frosting.
Bath
The session ended with a bubble bath completed with a yellow rubber duckie . Mason had a great time splashing and playing in the water and Michelle was able to take her baby home all nice and clean 🙂
