Session Planning
Rajat and Shalini were looking for a South Plainfield newborn photographer before their baby was born. After viewing my online portfolio, they decided to book me for their little girl’s newborn session. I am so happy they did since I absolutely loved working with them and their precious little Aira.
Prior to the session, Rajat and Shalini had sent me their inspiration board, a huge flower mural that Shalini had designed herself. It was a beautiful piece, full of vibrant red and yellow flowers. I made sure to get all my bright and colorful set ups ready for their arrival. I also prepared some neutral sets since I believe that those are really timeless.
Session Details
Since Shalini had a c/section, they brought her mom, who was visiting from India, to the session. What a great help she was! Little Aira did not want to sleep or pose at the beginning of the session. After Grandma fed and rocked her to sleep, we were able to do pretty much everything we wanted.
Aira looks so beautiful in a rose bed and in the floral swing but my favorite photos of her are definitely those with her parents and Grandma. Often parents do not want to be included in newborn photos but I always urge them to try. Aira actually smiled in her photos with Rajat and Shalini. She knew she was all safe in her mommy and daddy’s arms. The three generation photo is another gem and I am sure it will be cherished by Aira when she grows up.
