This puppy dog newborn session Hunterdon County NJ was so fun! I am a huge dog lover and have two pups myself. Before I got married I used to volunteer for rescues. I collected supplies for shelters and was very vocal about animal rights. I learned so much about animals and their treatment, which is why I decided to adopt my dogs. My Yorkies are Petfinder babies and although old (12 and 16 years old) they are still very much loved <3 .
I have always wanted to photograph a newborn puppy. My dream came true when I saw my previous newborn client posting photos of her new puppy. I knew it was meant to be! The puppy’s name was Jax, (my favorite boy name since I’ve watched Sons of Anarchy on Netflix!) I emailed her right away and asked if she would be willing to bring Jax over for some puppy photos. She was beyond happy! I instructed her to prepare the puppy just as she did her little baby a few months prior. Feed him, play with him, and don’t let him sleep! When they got here, he was so tired that after chewing on my finger for about a minute he passed out and didn’t wake up for a whole hour!
He was so cute and cuddly, and oh, that sweet puppy breath. I wasn’t sure what to expect before the session so I got few cute set ups just as I would do for a baby. Jax let me do anything I possibly wanted without making a peep. To say we had fun is an understatement. We had a blast!!! We couldn’t stop laughing at all the cute little poses Jax was doing and all the cute props he was in. I can’t wait to photograph another puppy! Who knows, maybe I’ll become a puppy photographer as well 🙂
