As a Morris County NJ Newborn Photographer I meet a lot of wonderful clients and their babies. This session was no exception. Baby girl was absolutely gorgeous with her dark hair and long eyelashes. She slept the entire time letting me go through my workflow and get all the poses and set ups I wanted. Sometimes babies don’t sleep as well and I have to adjust my workflow but this baby girl was a perfect model.
Mom and dad wanted to keep the session sweet and simple so we decided to go with cream and pale pink as a color palette. Before each photo session I send out a questionnaire where parents can share their preferences. They can tell me the colors they prefers, their favorite set ups and anything special about their family.
When planning a newborn photo session for a baby girl, I consider incorporating props and outfits that reflect parents personality and style. Soft, pastel colors and delicate accessories like headbands, bows, and flowers can add a sweet and feminine touch to the photos. In this case mommy really wanted the flower swing composite which was very easy to make using Photoshop. I love using digital backdrops and giving families exactly what they envision for their little one.
I try to keep the setups minimalistic to highlight the newborn and avoid overwhelming the scene. As always, as a Morris County NJ Newborn Photographer, I prioritize the comfort and safety of the newborn throughout the session.
