Westfield NJ Family Photo Session
Denisse wanted a perfect Westfield, NJ family photo session ever since she got pregnant with her second baby. She contacted me ahead of time and we scheduled a session in December. Denisse had a very simple . yet classic idea of how she wanted her photos to look like. The beauty of hiring a professional photographer is the freedom to choose your own style, your own props, colors and accessories. For this Westfield NJ Family Photo Session, I started by photographing both boys together on a wooden backdrop. Denisse loved boho style so I incorporated a bamboo stroller I recently found at Home Goods. It worked perfectly. Due to safety reasons, many photos of siblings are done as composites. I simply take a photo of the baby by himself and then another photo of a sibling alone. Later on I merge these two images to create a perfect photo of both babies. I know how important these images us to moms and dads and I use all the skills and tricks I have to make it happen.
Black and white Photography
Black and white photos hold so much emotion. When looking at them, we don’t concentrate on colors or props . Instead we focus on the baby itself , we focus on emotions that the photo brings up. We feel those photos. Denisse loved black and white look of photographs and I have to agree that they look stunning. Of course she got to keep the color versions of the images as well.
Throughout this Westfield NJ Family Photo Session, I used soft light and neutral colors to create a cohesive and calming aesthetic. The final images were be a beautiful representation of this family’s love and the start of their new chapter as a family of four. I love how this Westfield NJ Family Photo Session turned out.
