As a Monmouth County NJ Newborn Photographer, I get to share in both joy and sorrow, as with this Monmouth County NJ family. For this amazing couple, their journey to parenthood was not an easy one. Before sweet Luca was born, they lost their baby girl Jade after a totally healthy pregnancy. I was so sad to hear about their daughter, but I’m grateful they were blessed with a beautiful rainbow baby. It was such an honor to photograph their family.

Bringing your rainbow baby in for newborn pictures can be bittersweet. With my years of experience as a newborn photographer, I’m sometimes asked for ideas. Are there ways to remember a lost child even while you celebrate this beautiful rainbow? Absolutely. I keep rainbow props, such as the little rainbow Luca is holding below, for exactly that purpose. And sometimes parents have something from home that can represent an older sibling who has passed away.
This family brought a photo of their sweet baby Jade that we could include in the family portrait. What’s important is that whatever you choose is meaningful for you. As a newborn photographer, I’m happy to provide ways for you to record memories of all of your children–whether using props at the studio or special items from home.
NJ Newborn Photo Session
Baby Luca was such a great boy. He slept through the entire session and even gave me few smirks here and there. We’ve managed to do all the poses in my workflow without hearing a peep from this handsome little dude. Mom wanted natural colors so we went with grays, browns and sage to complement Luca’s nursery. I think this whole session was amazing and the photos turned out beautiful. Made my Monmouth County NJ Newborn Photographer heart very happy.
