Union County NJ Newborn Photographer

It’s been a pleasure to be the Union County NJ Newborn Photographer for this beautiful family over the last couple of years. I photographed their oldest daughter, Chloe, when she was a newborn, a little less than two years ago. So I was very excited when I learned that they were expecting another girl! And I was even more delighted when they contacted me about doing the newborn photographs.

Riley’s Newborn Photography Session

Mom and Dad had originally planned to bring big sister Chloe as well as Grandma and Great-Grandma to the studio to join us for pictures, but unfortunately it didn’t work out. It ended up being just Mom, Dad, and Miss Riley–which was just fine too!

Mom wanted a girly theme for Riley’s newborn photos. However, since I had also done a feminine theme for Chloe, she didn’t want it to be too similar. As a newborn photographer, I keep a huge variety of props, outfits, and backdrops near me in the studio at all times. So it was no problem to make this session all-girl without repeating any of our previous setups.

We used pink and purple for our main colors, and also incorporated some gray, white, and brown. I thought Riley looked especially adorable in the brown bear cap and swaddle. She even gave us a smile at one point! There’s nothing better than a newborn baby smiling in her sleep!
