Newborn Photo Session Planning
It was a pleasure to do this newborn photo session Flemington NJ last month for this wonderful family. I photographed their oldest daughter, Lennon, when she was a baby. Mommies Autumn and Katie loved Lennon’s baby pictures. I was so happy that they chose me to be be the baby photographer for little Hayden as well.
Hayden’s Newborn Photo Session
We decided to keep things girly for this newborn photoshoot, but with a rustic/vintage feel. Ivory, blush, and lavender were a few of the colors we used. We also got my favorite color in there–yellow! Katie is from Kansas, so she really wanted to incorporate sunflowers into Hayden’s pictures. They were such a bright, cheerful touch in our photographs.
We also used a couple of props to celebrate the upcoming holiday season. The flowers had a colorful, autumn/harvest feel that was perfect for Thanksgiving, and our little gingerbread man was a nod to Christmas (which is so close I can hardly believe it!)
It was great to see Lennon again and see how much she’s grown! She is a beautiful little girl, and a wonderful big sister. She did so well with baby Hayden and was so sweet and gentle. I loved watching them together! Capturing sibling images can be tricky, but with careful planning I’m able to get wonderful pictures of older brothers and sisters with a new baby.
