Photo Session Planning

It was wonderful to be the Far Hills Newborn Photographer for this family!. Mom Anne contacted me about doing some newborn and family photos the day before her due date. Luckily, I had an opening! Although occasionally people will get lucky like this, I always encourage clients to book well in advance. If you’re thinking about a newborn photography session, it’s a good idea to get in touch with me as soon as possible. I tend to book up quickly. Anne ended up having a C-section because baby was breech. He arrived in the world safe and sound, and is such a cutie!

Baby John’s Session Details

This little guy was named John after his dad. He was just a doll and slept almost the entire time. Although he did wake up long enough for me to get a picture of him with his eyes wide open. I love when I’m able to get those shots! He’s got such perfect chubby cheeks, and his hair was great!

The whole family, including big sister Maevey (2 years old) joined me in my photography studio for this session. Maevey was such a sweetheart, and such a pretty little girl! She was really gentle with her new baby brother and it was sweet to watch them together. We chose soft, neutral colors for these newborn photos. This is always a great choice if you’re wanting to do include family pictures during your newborn session. Neutrals tend to be flattering for everyone, and make for such pretty photos.

Photography Review
