Session Planning
I did this birthday photo session for Kareena, who just turned two years old. Her mom brought her to my New Jersey studio, and nanny came along to make her smile. This little girl is gorgeous with her dark hair and eyes, but so serious. She rarely smiles at all. It’s possible she may grow up to be a model!
Session Details
In addition to not being super smiley at the best of times, Kareena was also tired because she and her family had just come back from a long trip to California. At first she was very serious, but once we started to play peek-a-boo she was cracking up! Her smile and laughter were infectious and we ended up having a wonderful time together. Sometimes all it takes is a little extra effort to get a kiddo to smile, and I’m always willing to do whatever it takes. Happy memories make for happy photos, so I do my best to make every session a pleasant, comfortable experience.
We used several outfits during this session: all pretty dresses for a pretty girl! We also used some of my props for the two year mark. Birthday photos sessions are a great way to capture the milestones in your child’s life. I keep props in my studio that are specifically designed to showcase the major milestones of a child’s age as they grow.
Review
Kareena’s mom, Kathy, ended up loving the pictures from this birthday photo session and decided to upgrade her package. I was so glad she was happy with my work. My goal for all of my clients is for them to end up with beautiful pictures they can cherish for a lifetime. It was a pleasure to record the two year milestone for this sweet and lovely little girl.
