Had such a fun newborn photography session with this sweet family from Flemington, Hunterdon County NJ.
Mom reached out to me a few days after baby Jacob was born to see about a newborn photography session. Luckily I had an opening! They tried to book a newborn session with me a few years back (for big sister Nora), but I was completely booked. I’m glad I was able to get them in this time! I always recommend booking newborn sessions well in advance. Even if baby arrives before or after the due date, we can adjust your session date to make it work.
Mom and dad wanted to use these photos for birth announcement and holiday cards. We used a mix of neutral grays and blues, a blanket made by grandma, and also some Christmas setups. A Santa outfit and snowman swaddle were perfect. Any holiday card with this cute little guy on it is sure to make the recipient smile!
Nora wasn’t excited about taking pictures with baby brother, but her parents came prepared and bribed her with snacks and a Rapunzel doll. Including older siblings in newborn photography sometimes takes some extra planning like this, but it’s so worth it! I loved the pictures we got of Nora and Jacob together. Nora eventually warmed up to me and even gave me a hug!
Mom also wanted some photos of baby naked, which we did–and then he peed all over her! Ah, well. The photos turned out adorable, and that’s what counts!
