Jennifer contacted me about doing her baby boy’s photos after I was recommended to her by several coworkers as an excellent newborn photographer. She asked if we might be able to adjust the time of the photo shoot. I usually do newborn sessions about two weeks after the baby is born. They still tend to be very sleepy and relaxed at that stage, so are easy to work with. Jennifer and her family are Chinese. According to Chinese tradition, there is a thirty day period of confinement for mother and baby after the birth. I was happy to accommodate so they could honor their cultural traditions. We did this photography session when little Aiden was six weeks old. He did an amazing job!
We decided on a warm, neutral color scheme to match Aiden’s nursery. Blue, gray, black, and brown. Mom told me she loved my photos that included cute bear hats and warm, cozy blankets and hats. I gave her some choices from my props selection and the photos turned out so cute!
Mom, Dad, and Grandma were all able to join me at the studio for this newborn photography session. It was wonderful to have the whole family there! They are so happy to welcome little Aiden into their hearts, and I can see why. He really is a sweetheart. I loved photographing this handsome little man, and he made it so easy for me. Despite being a little older than most of the newborns I photograph, he wasn’t fussy at all and was so sleepy and good! He loved being held, cuddled, and swaddled.
