Newborns
For the past nine months, you have anxiously awaited the arrival of your perfect little baby. You wondered what baby would look like. You couldn’t wait to count their tiny little fingers and smell their sweet, delicious head. Now that they are finally here, your joy and happiness should be captured as a memory to treasure forever. Having a newborn is an indescribable feeling. It brings out a love that you never even knew you had inside you. Your new baby fills a hole in your heart you never knew existed.
Your baby’s newborn session is a time to show off how proud you are of your beautiful new addition. As a newborn photographer, I always love to see the expression on a parent’s face when they are holding their brand new baby in their arms. Often parents will each take individual photos with their newborn, and then a few group shots. As much as you love your newborn, it is amazing to see the love your partner has for that same baby. It is an entirely different love than you have for each other.
Session
Having newborn pictures that include parents is something special your child can look back on for the rest of their lives as well. They will be able to see the love and excitement in your face as you looked at them. Those feelings will forever be photographed, reminding you years down the road how magical it felt to look down at your baby. You may think, “Wow, I am so in love. I will never forget how I am feeling at this very moment.”
As time passes, looking back at these amazing photographs from your newborn shoot will make you remember those feelings. A client recently told me she was looking back at pictures of her newborn shoot and couldn’t believe it was only six months ago. She said it feels like an entire lifetime! She is so happy that she and her husband took family pictures. It is a memory she will cherish forever.
