Twin Cake Smash Session
A few weeks ago I got a visit from two adorable little boys for their Somerset County Cake Smash Session. I absolutely love photographing twins! Getting them here to smash a cake is a double treat! Amy and I worked closely together to design the sets for both the birthday photos and the cake smash. Combination sessions like this are very popular since you get two completely different looks. I always start with traditional birthday photos–while the little one is still clean! Then I follow up with another fun set-up complete with cake smash. Parents usually give me a theme they want and I design the set around it. My cake smash sessions include all the props and accessories, except the actual cake. I do offer bakery recommendations. Some of my favorites are Treat Your Party and Blue Sheep Bake Shop. Both of these places are amazing and can make a cake you’ve always dreamed of.
Twin Birthday Photo Session
For the birthday part of the session, Amy wanted to do very classy, traditional photos and include older sister as well. We went with a baby blue backdrop and it worked out so well. For the cake smash, Amy was inspired by the cake smash outfits she had purchased. Those were cute little diaper covers with suspenders and hats, blue and green with a splash of red and yellow. The boys loved their cakes and had tons of fun smashing them. The cleaning up part is usually fun too with everyone being covered in cake 🙂
